Dangote Refinery’s first product to hit market July, August - Aliko Dangote

Dangote stated his aim to wean Nigeria off of its reliance on imported petroleum products. Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, has stated that the first product from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals will hit the market by the end of "July or the beginning of August" this year.Dangote stated his aim to end Nigeria's reliance on imported petroleum products, which he described as a terrible dependency that permits harmful and substandard items to enter the Nigerian market. He emphasized that the refinery's key goal is to increase production capacity in order to meet the nation's demand for excellent products this year.Dangote, a billionaire businessman, highlighted the significance of the project for Nigeria, stating that it presents a clear opportunity for the country, aligning with the African Union's commitment to establishing an African common market through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The refinery is expected to produce a range of refined products, including Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), diesel (Automotive Gas Oil), aviation jet fuel, and Dual-Purpose Kerosene (DPK).
