Okowa permits public school employees to retire at age 65
The Delta State Government has set a retirement age of 65 for all of its public schools, including polytechnics and colleges of education, for both teaching and non-teaching staff. Also, it adopted a 40-year service requirement for all of its public schools' teaching and non-teaching staff. The approval was one of the decisions made at the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting, which was held on Monday in Government House, Asaba, and presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, according to the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.
