Nigerian Navy to decrease expensive ship insurance premiums

According to the CNS, the Naval Headquarters has continued to prioritize infrastructure development in the hierarchy of its preferences.On Monday, Vice Adm. Awwal Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), stated that the Nigerian Navy (NN) had redoubled its efforts to decrease exorbitant insurance rates for ships operating in Nigerian-controlled seas.Awwal made the remarks while inaugurating multiple projects spanning several naval commands in Lagos State. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), among the projects opened were a girls' hostel at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ojo, and blocks of 16 by two beds for senior citizens. Others include a 24-person Under Training Rating's Accommodation and a newly remodeled diving wing at the Underwater Warfare School.
