PSC to check misconduct, human right abuses by police officers

Arase stated that the panel would work to reduce the culture of excess by including the police and the general public.Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), has stated again that he will not accept police misbehavior or human rights violations against members of the general public. Arase, a former Inspector General of Police (IGP), made the claim while being hosted by Peter Gad, Executive Director of the Cleen Foundation, on Wednesday in Abuja. According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes public safety, security, and access to justice in collaboration with the government, civil society, and other private sector organizations. Arase stated that he was allergic to corruption and all other things that could taint the image of the police in the eyes of the people, and that he was willing to change the narrative about the force.
