Nigeria will transport nearly 5,500 trapped students from Sudan by road

Following the attack on a French rescue team's flight in Sudan, the Federal Government stated that a road evacuation strategy became necessary.As flying operations have grown increasingly perilous, the Federal Government has decided to transport nearly 5,500 stranded Nigerians in war-torn Sudan by road.Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the administration has finalized plans to transport the stranded Nigerians back to the country by road.This is in response to the continuing crisis in the Northeastern African country, which began with a battle between a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Force (RSF) and Sudanese army forces.
