JAMB says direct entry registration will continue after the 2023 UTME and national census

JAMB informed DE aspirants that they would not be denied the opportunity to register if they followed the board's instructions and submitted their applications within the time frame specified.The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that the deadline for continuing Direct Entry (DE) registration for candidates seeking admission to universities has been extended.This was said by the board's Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday in Abuja. Benjamin stated that the board has postponed the continuation of its DE registration, which was set to expire on Thursday, April 20 but was prolonged by one week to continue on Saturday, May 6, when the 2023 UTME and national census exercise would have ended. He said the board assured candidates desirous of DE registration that none would be denied the opportunity to register, provided they complied with the board’s directives and within the stipulated time frame. He, therefore, solicited the understanding of candidates as it put in place some innovative measures, aimed at checking incidence of falsification of results, data and other infractions.
