Oloyede praised the applicants for their patience in the wake of the board's decision to reschedule the exam for April 18.84,000 applicants took the rescheduled mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 387 Computer Based Test (CBT) centers across the country.Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), expressed joy at the smooth operation of the examination in Abuja on Tuesday. The mock examination is intended to assess JAMB's and its partners' preparedness for the UTME. It is also beneficial to provide potential applicants with hands-on experience in the CBT setting. Oloyede praised the applicants for their patience in the wake of the board's decision to reschedule the exam for April 18. He stated that the faults previously detected in the simulated UTME in some centers, which caused it to be rescheduled, were caused by the implementation of innovations. "We should also thank the students for bearing with us while we were trial-testing," he remarked. "You know, we announced that we were moving to a new level, and I believe that by God's grace, we have arrived at the next level." "We saw what the things we wanted to test were, and we went back and made sure everything worked and it is working."
