Former Justice Minister Bola Ajibola has died at the age of 89

Between 1984 and 1985, Ajibola was president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Prince Bola Ajibola, Nigeria's former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, has died. Former International Court of Justice judge, Hague, Netherlands, died at the age of 89. Segun Ajibola, the late jurist's eldest child, revealed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Abeokuta. Ajibola, the founder of Crescent University in Abeokuta, died early Sunday, according to the statement. Ajibola was born on March 22, 1934 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and attended Baptist Boys High School, Oke Saje, Abeokuta, as well as the University of London. Between 1984 and 1985, Ajibola was president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). From 1985 to 1991, he was the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice of Nigeria, and from 1991 to 1994, he was a Judge of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands. From 1999 to 2002, Ajibola served as Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
