NAPTIP receives four trafficking victims from NIS

The comptroller assured that the NIS would not allow any suspect or person profiting from human trafficking to enter the state. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Kebbi has handed over four arrested victims from Lagos State bound for Libya to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). They were apprehended in Kebbi while allegedly traveling to Libya. Rabi Bashir-Nuhu, the Comptroller of the NIS in Kebbi State, stated this to reporters on Monday in Birnin Kebbi. Three of the victims are females aged 22, 22, 30, and a male aged 30 who were traveling alone when they were detained by immigration officials in Yauri Local Government Area.
