After calling on Faye to admit loss and thanking President Macky Sall and the other contenders for upholding Senegal's democratic heritage by acknowledging his win well in advance of official results, Faye is scheduled to take office as the country's next president. "In electing me, the Senegalese people have decided on a break with a past," Faye told journalists in his first public appearance since the election.
