56% of criminal cases brought before the Nigeria Police Force in a year are won by them

Of all the cases, more than 11,000 have not yet been resolved in court.Of the 29,052 criminal charges the Nigeria Police Force brought before national courts in a single year, the force claimed 16,200 convictions.This was said in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.He said that in accordance with the law, the prisoners received a variety of penalties for their crimes. According to Adejobi, the jury decided to exonerate 1,476 of the defendants. He said that 17,676 of the 29,052 instances that had been prosecuted had been decided beyond a reasonable doubt.He said 11,376 of the cases were currently undergoing prosecution while 51 were appealed.
