Tinubu warns Qatari investors, "Don't offer a bribe to my people, report anyone to me."

The Nigerian President gave the Qatari investors the assurance that all previous obstacles to the country's economic climate are still being removed through continuing reforms.President Bola Tinubu reiterated his administration's resolve to combat corruption to the fullest extent possible and provide a supportive business climate while pleading with Qatari investors not to pay any Nigerian government officials.On Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Doha, Tinubu made the appeal during the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum. The President has also urged investors in the Arabian nation to report any Nigerian government official who requests a bribe. The President is now on a state visit to Qatar to explore partnership and economic potential between the two nations.
