151 houses flooded after early morning Tuesday rain in Lagos

Lagos neighborhoods Command and Ipaja are affected by flooding.Around 151 dwellings were affected by a flood that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in the Lagos towns of Command and Ipaja, according to Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency's (NEMA) Lagos Territorial Coordinator.In a statement, Farinloye disclosed that preliminary assessments carried out in the impacted regions showed that inhabitants had to be evacuated from 23 houses in Oke Ishagun, 35 houses in Isale Aboru, 29 houses in Ikola Community, and 15 houses in Olubodun Majiyagbe-Ajayi.Other affected areas included Makinde Street (12 houses), Olokowo Street (16 houses), and Adeola Street (21 houses), among others.
