Tinubu mourns Namibia’s President Geingob

Tinubu added that Geingob extended the tendrils of collaboration throughout all spheres of human endeavor and bolstered ties across national boundaries.On Sunday in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Namibian people and government on President Hage Geingob's passing.At the age of 82, Geingob passed away on Sunday while undergoing care in a hospital in Windhoek. His media assistant, Ajuri Ngelale, released a statement on behalf of President Tinubu, characterizing Geingob as a seasoned democrat and supporter of African unification. The president of Nigeria said, "He was a veteran in the fight for democracy; a supporter of good governance, and an advocate of economic, social, and political solidarity among African peoples." He noted that Geingob’s death came at a time when Africa needed more visionary leaders who believed in the common destiny of the continent.
