FG promises to increase its investment in the generation of meteorological data. The Federal Government announced on Thursday in Abuja that it would increase its investment in meteorological data generation to improve weather forecasting across the country. Prof. Mansur Matazu, Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), made the pledge during his keynote address on World Meteorological Day. Matazu, who was represented by Prof. Effiom Oku, NiMet Director of Research and Training, stated that the Federal Government had been investing in the generation of meteorological data over land, water, and the atmosphere.
