The beneficiaries were counseled by the IGP to use the money carefully.Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), gave checks totaling more than ?134.5 million to the families of 24 deceased police officers and men who gave their lives while performing their duties.According to a statement made by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yazid Abubakar, Muhammad Shehu, the Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, represented the IGP during the presentation.The financial assistance is a component of the IGP's welfare program, which also includes the police force's Family Welfare Scheme, Group Life Insurance, and Group Personal Accident plans.
