NBA demands that Minister Hannatu Musawa be fired for allegedly breaking the NYSC Act

NBA has filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Creative Economy and Art Culture.Allegations of breaking the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act have prompted the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Section on Public Interest and Development Law to file a lawsuit against Hannatu Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, seeking her removal from office. The NBA-SPIDEL is also requesting that the NYSC revoke the certificates that were given to Musawa and music promoter Kenny Ogungbe by the Federal High Court in Abuja. They argue that the certificates were not granted in accordance with the terms of the NYSC Act Cap N84. The legal action, filed by NBA-SPIDEL Secretary Funmi Adeogun and Chairman John Aikpokpo-Martins, claims that it was illegal and an insult to patriotism for Musawa and Ogungbe to be called up for the required one-year national youth service after becoming thirty years old.
