Saraki's lawsuit against EFCC and others is postponed by the Federal High Court

The Court of Appeal's report on the application for a stay of proceedings was cited by the court as justification for its delay. Two distinct lawsuits brought by former Senate President Bukola Saraki against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other organizations have been postponed by an Abuja Federal High Court.On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, Justice Inyang Ekwo announced the adjournment, citing the necessity to await the Court of Appeal's report on the former lawmaker's motion for a stay of proceedings. During the resumed hearing, Saraki's lawyer, Tunde Afe-Babalola, SAN, informed the court about a pending application for a stay of proceedings filed on July 30, 2021. Afe-Babalola asserted that all parties had been served, and they were prepared to proceed with the case.
