The National Arts Theatre's main building has not caught fire, according to management

The management claims that in order to determine the true cause of the fire, it is currently collaborating closely with the appropriate governmental and law enforcement entities.The gas explosion that happened at the theater complex on Saturday night, according to the administration of the National Arts Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, "is a minor setback which did not affect any part of the cultural edifice."The fire happened in a remote region that was annexed to the theater, according to a statement released by the management and signed by Olubunmi Adebimpe, Press Secretary to the General Manager of the theater.According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Director of Public Affairs Amodu Shakiru has confirmed that the explosion of a gas cylinder sparked the fire. The management said: “Our attention was drawn to the above misleading headline first published on the X handle of Leadership Newspaper earlier today.
