Over 100 targets are struck by Israeli fighter jets in Gaza - IDF

The Gaza Health Ministry, which is under Hamas control, claims that at least 52 Palestinians died in the attacks.The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Tuesday morning that dozens of Israeli fighter jets had hit over 100 targets in Gaza.According to the IDF, among them had been military facilities and tunnel shafts utilized by the radical Palestinian group Hamas. The Health Ministry in Gaza, which is under the leadership of Hamas, claims that at least 52 people perished in the attacks.According to the IDF report, a terrorist cell in Jabalia that had tried to set up explosives close to an Israeli tank was destroyed over night. It further said that the fighters had been the target of ground forces prior to being shot down by a fighter jet. It was not possible to independently verify the claims. Hamas fighters had also been killed the previous day in the southern city of Khan Younis, the army added.
