Fubara promises to carry out the peace accord and claims it's not as horrible as people think

Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for mediating the disagreement between him and Governor Wike.Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has promised to carry out the peace accord mediated by President Bola Tinubu in order to end the political standoff between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.Some Rivers stakeholders and allies of Governor Tinubu have been urging him to stick to his position and disregard the peace accord since the president intervened in the dispute between Fubara and Wike. However, on Monday, December 25, 2023, the governor reiterated his view that there is never a price too high to ensure that the state is at peace. According to Fubara, the peace agreement is not as terrible as his backers have made it out to be.
