IGP is given 24 hours by the Senate to make the CAC boss appear before it

A committee member instructed the CAC representatives to make sure the registrar general showed up for the committee meeting.The Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Garba Lawal, has been urged by the Senate Committee on Finance to appear before it for the defense of the 2024 budget within a day by the Inspector General of Police.Sen. Sani Musa, the committee chairman, made this statement on Wednesday in Abuja during the appearance of CAC representatives before the committee on budget defense.For the third time, Musa claimed, the Registrar General had declined to accept the Committee's invitation. He noted that further information regarding the disparities in the commission's budget was required from the registrar general.
