APC’s Uba Sani wins the governorship election in Kaduna

Sani received 730,002 votes to defeat PDP candidate Isa Ashiru and others. Senator Uba Sani, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Kaduna state, has been declared the winner of the state's governorship election on March 18. Professor Lawal Suleiman Bilbis, the Returning Officer for Kaduna State and Vice Chancellor of Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, declared the governor-elect on Monday, March 20, 2023. Sani received 730,002 votes, defeating Isa Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 719,196 votes. Jonathan Asake, the Labour Party candidate, finished third with 58,283 votes, while Suleiman Hunkuyi of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) received 21,405 votes.
