Senate committees are reorganized by Akpabio under new leadership

The Senate President stated that the purpose of these modifications was to improve the effectiveness and functionality of the Senate Committees in a number of different areas.During a plenary session on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced a reorganization of the leadership of numerous Senate Committees.Among the noteworthy appointments are Jimoh Ibrahim (APC-Ondo) as the new chairman of the Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Local Content. The restructuring was revealed by Sen. Akpabio, who said, "This action is for effectiveness in committee operations and to ensure optimal performance in various sectors."
