Adamawa guber election results collation is suspended by INEC due to a mix-up

Due to a disagreement over the findings from a local government, the commission has postponed the collation procedure until today at 12 o'clock. Because of a mix-up in the Fufore Local Government Area results, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has halted the collation of results in the governor's race in Adamawa State (LGA). He issued a warning that, if the episodes persisted without any intervention, party supporters might be forced to resort to violence. The exercise's returning officer announced that collation would begin at 12 p.m. today, March 20, 2023, in the hopes that the Fufore LGA's controversial results would have been resolved. Due to the participation of a female contender, Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, also known as Binani, who is poised to make history as the first female governor-elect in Nigeria, the governorship race in the North-Eastern state has attracted intense national attention. Ahmadu Fintiri, the incumbent governor and candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is up against Binani in the race for re-election.
