It's a done deal! Sanwo-Olu defeats GRV and wins a second term

Sanwo-Olu has been elected to a second four-year term as governor of Lagos State. The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been declared the victor of the state's March 18, 2023, governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Sanwo-Olu defeated his two main rivals, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, to win by a wide margin. The governor received a total of APC - 762,134 votes, according to the official results revealed in the wee hours of Monday, March 20, 2023, by INEC Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Prof. Adeyinka Oladiji. Adediran, also known as Jandor, received 62,449 votes, placing him in a distant third. His nearest challenger, Rhodes-Vivour, received 312,329 votes to take second place.
