In Paris, the Minister of Information reiterates his dedication to the UNESCO Institute in Nigeria

The Minister shared his goals for giving Nigerian government communications credibility and confidence again.The Federal Government of Nigeria is resolute in its commitment to the prompt construction of a UNESCO Category 2 Institute for Media and Information Literacy (MIL), as stated by Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Mohammed Idris.On the fringes of UNESCO's 42nd General Conference in Paris, France, the Minister made this declaration in a bilateral discussion with Dr. Tawfik Jelassi, the organization's Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information.This is stated in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja, which was signed by the Ministry's Deputy Director of Press. According to Idris, the Federal Government committed to establishing and hosting the Institute during the UNESCO Global Media Conference in 2022.
