Lawmakers guarantee that gender inclusion measures would be passed quickly in Nigeria

Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, that bills pertaining to the inclusion of women and youth in the 10th Assembly will be given prompt consideration.In an interview with reporters on the eve of NEWS Engineering Ltd.'s 40th anniversary celebration in Abuja on Tuesday, Kalu provided the promise.He stated that the gender laws that the 9th Assembly had rejected would be reexamined and expressed the hope that the Executive, since many of its members were former members of parliament, would support them as well. A few of the laws aim to give women in political parties 35% of the seats in the Federal and State Legislative Houses, as well as unique seats.
