Adamawa governor Fintiri is confirmed by the tribunal

With 430,861 votes to Binani's 398,788 votes, Fintiri was proclaimed the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).The Adamawa Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal dismissed the petition filed by Senator Aishatu Binani, the APC candidate, on Saturday, upholding Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's election from the March 18 elections.The petition did not prove that the Electoral Act was not followed during the election, according to Justice Theodora Uloho, the tribunal chairman, who delivered the decision."The petitioner was unable to provide convincing, reliable, and sufficient evidence to support the claim of non-compliance with the election laws. “All documents tendered by the petitioner were dumped on the tribunal and the star witness did not demonstrate any of the documents to link it with any of their material allegation in the petition,” she said.
