I was once Siddiq, Atiku confesses regarding the name difference

The former vice president said that everything was clearly recorded and that he legally changed his name from Siddiq to Atiku Abubakar.Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) nominee for president in the general elections of 2023, has responded to suspicions of forgery brought on by a name-related inconsistency.The credentials the former vice president submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the election were revealed in documents that surfaced on social media last week. In contrast to his other credentials, Atiku's name appeared as Siddiq Abubakar on the 1965 WASSCE certificate he submitted to INEC. Some have already accused the PDP candidate of certificate fabrication due to this apparent discrepancy. But reacting to the development through a statement by his media aide, Paul Ibe, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, Atiku said he once used 'Siddiq' as his first name but later reverted to Atiku.
