According to Atiku, some of the President's media aides are misleading the public about the details surrounding Tinubu's alleged certificate fraud.Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election, has stepped up his accusations of certificate fabrication against President Bola Tinubu, asserting that the administration has twisted the truth to deceive Nigerians.Tinubu's academic records were given to the former Vice President by Chicago State University (CSU) on Monday, October 2, 2023, and are now in his control. In order to obtain the documents he plans to present as proof before the Supreme Court that the President filed a falsified certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Atiku engaged in a protracted legal battle in American courts. The PDP candidate and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, had filed 86 grounds of appeal at the apex court to overturn the Presidential Election Petitions Court’s judgment of September 6 that affirmed Tinubu’s victory.
