Gunmen fire on a Delta PDP governor candidate

Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) candidate for governor in Delta's March 18 elections, was reportedly attacked by unidentified gunmen in the state. This information was provided by the Party's Campaign Council in a statement released on Tuesday by its Deputy Director for Media and Publicity, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza. The attack allegedly occurred on Sunday, March 12, 2023, between Elume Junction and Okuabude in the Okpe Local Government Area of the State.
