Tribunal judges Ajang Alfred of LP the winner in the Plateau, voiding Bagos' triumph

Another setback for PDP as a third candidate fails to win in Plateau The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representative for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Dachung Bagos, had his election victory thrown out by the National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Jos, Plateau State. The Labour Party's Ajang Alfred was declared the election's legitimate victor by the tribunal on Tuesday, September 12, after finding that Bagos had not been duly nominated by the PDP.This ruling marks the third time in Plateau State that the tribunal has nullified the election victories of PDP candidates. Senator Napoleon Bali, who represents Plateau South, and Peter Gyengdeng, who represents Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, have also faced a similar fate.
