Judiciary right when court made Obi gov, wrong when he lost at tribunal – Wike

Wike questioned whether Obi similarly bought judges' favor at the Supreme Court. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has refuted claims that the Court of Appeal judges who decided petitions in the 2023 presidential election were biased.Wike made this statement in response to critiques of the ruling in the petitions brought by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to challenge President Bola Tinubu's election. On Thursday, September 7, 2023, the former governor of Rivers State asked on Channels Television's Politics Today show, "Did Peter Obi not win at the Supreme Court when he was ousted as governor? He paid bribe, right? Let him explain. “When he was removed as a governor, did he not reclaim his mandate at the Supreme Court? Judiciary was right but now that the decision happened, judiciary is wrong,” Wike said as he defended the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC)'s verdict.
