According to the presidency, Tinubu is unconcerned about the upcoming court decision.Bola Tinubu just won the 2023 presidential election, thus according to the president's spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, he has no right to threaten judges.On Monday, September 4, 2023, Ngelale made this statement during the Politics Today program on Channels Television. He added that President Tinubu is not concerned about the impending court ruling and that the President believes the judiciary would make independent judgements based on the merits of the matter that is before it. Ngelale stated, "He (Tinubu) is not worried simply because he knows he won the election. On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) is scheduled to make a decision over the validity of President Tinubu's election. The Peoples Democratic Party's Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party's Peter Obi, who came in second and third, respectively, in the February election, have also challenged the former Lagos governor's victory before the tribunal. The tribunal made the much awaited judgment-delivery announcement weeks after all the involved parties finished presenting their concluding arguments.
