NEMA acts swiftly and forcefully to contain the flood calamity in the Southeast

According to Echeazu, the Agency has finalized plans to enlist assistance and support for its flood swift reaction strategy.According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), proactive and forceful measures have been implemented to control flooding in states in the South-East, particularly those in riverine and low-lying communities.In response to inquiries about NEMA's practical measures to contain and lessen the impact of flooding in the region, Mrs. Ngozi Echeazu, the South-East Coordinator of NEMA, made this disclosure to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Sunday. Echeazu stated that NEMA was keeping an eye on water levels in significant rivers in zone states in conjunction with pertinent Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). "The practical measures taken by NEMA include monitoring the water," the NEMA coordinator added.
