This occurs just a day after the Niger junta's head, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, declared in a public broadcast on Saturday that the military will cede control to a civilian government by the year 2026. Reacting to this in the BBC interview, Musah said that General Tchiani's proposal is a ruse to engage in dialogue and diplomatic resolution.
