Tinubu consents to the launch of the presidential CNG program

According to the President, concentrating on building CNG-capable automobiles domestically will boost economic growth and generate job opportunities.In order to mitigate the effects of the elimination of fuel subsidies on Nigerians by lowering energy costs, President Bola Tinubu has approved the creation of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI).This innovative project aims to revolutionize the transportation industry by converting over 55,000 existing PMS-dependent cars to CNG and over 11,500 new vehicles to CNG. In accordance with the president's direction, the program would also promote domestic production, local assembly, and significant job creation, according to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity. The initiative comprises of a Comprehensive Adoption Strategy and includes the following: Empowering Workshops Programme with Nationwide Network of Workshops and Local Assembly and Job Creation.
