pregnant women ask the FG to comply with the requests of the resident doctors

An expectant woman claimed that because government hospitals are so reasonably priced for the average Nigerian, most of them prefer to receive their medical care there. In order for the resident doctors who are currently on strike to return to work and provide healthcare to Nigerians, several pregnant ladies have pleaded with the Federal Government to address their requirements. The women made the call on Saturday in Abuja as part of an outreach for expectant mothers by the non-governmental organization (NGO), Help Africans Charity Network. The doctors, who are represented by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), reportedly went on an indefinite strike on July 26 after giving the Federal Government various deadlines to comply with their requests. The women said that access to healthcare delivery especially for pregnant women was very essential as they may need to see a doctor at any time during the duration of the pregnancy
