More protests would be put on hold, Labour promises Tinubu, according to the FG

The federal administration claimed that labor had high regard for Tinubu's capacity to promote an open and sincere discussion of all their problems.According to the Federal Government, after meeting with President Bola Tinubu, organized labor leaders decided to halt the nationwide protests.Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, and Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), were also present at the meeting. The unions had earlier in the day staged statewide rallies to voice their discontent with the current economic difficulties brought on by the elimination of gasoline subsidies and the unification of the foreign exchange rate.
