Tinubu welcomes Guinea-Bissau President to Lagos residence

Tinubu greets Guinea-Bissau's President in his Lagos house.Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo paid a private visit to his Nigerian counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at his villa in Lagos.On the afternoon of Saturday, July 1, 2023, Tinubu welcomed Embalo, who is also the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government, to his Lagos mansion. A short video shared on the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Twitter page shows the two leaders exchanging pleasantries before entering a closed-door discussion. President Embalo has become the first African and world leader to visit Tinubu since his inauguration on May 29, 2023. President Tinubu has been spending the Sallah vacation in Lagos since his return from a week-long trip to France and London on Tuesday. Tinubu was greeted warmly by supporters when he arrived in the city for the first time since becoming Nigeria's 16th President.
