According to the DSS, there are intentions to assault houses of worship and recreational centers during the Sallah celebrations.The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a warning about potential terrorist attacks ahead of and during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.As Nigerian Muslims prepare for the Sallah celebrations on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the DSS claimed reports at its disposal showed that terrorists are planning attacks on worship and leisure centers. This was stated in a statement given by the Service's spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, on Thursday, June 22, 2023. The recent discovery of prepared Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from suspected terrorists during a combined operation by the Service and its sister security agencies, according to Afunanya, lends credence to the reports.
